It’s as certain as death and taxes.
One day your network will go down …best to be prepared.

What is SD-WAN Redundancy?
Redundancy is a simple concept to understand.
If there is a single point of failure and it fails, then… the world is on fire!
If a secondary point has been designed into the infrastructure, then, when the main point fails, there is still another means to stay alive.
Redundancy related to SD-WAN is a process by which additional or alternate instances of connectivity are installed within the network infrastructure. It will save the day when the inevitable happens.
SD-WAN custom redundancy solutions
SD WAN redundancy solutions can be configured in many different ways.
Example 1. MPLS and Internet
Live traffic on both the MPLS network and Internet with failover to one or the other depending on whether the particular access path is available. Consideration needs to be given here to the applications in use and the trade-offs when traffic is rerouted in this manner as it implies for the MPLS to function as internet access a centralised Internet gateway must be available. MobileCorp can provide such a solution using on-demand bandwidth when required.
Example 2. Internet only
Where traffic is not adversely affected by the possibility of increased jitter or latency, an active Internet only access solution. This facilitates the ability for a multi-carrier solution to create separate egress points from a customer site if carriers are using separate ducts or even the use of air-based technologies such as 4G and, in time, 5G. MobileCorp, as a Telstra Platinum Partner, has extensive experience with providing carrier-based solutions.
MobileCorp Redundancy Services
Almost every network created is unique in some way. There is no ‘one size fits all’ in redundancy planning.
